GuestView Guide was a wall-mounted digital concierge for vacation rentals, sold by Sharp NEC Display Solutions. The service shut down on 31 October 2024. If a screen is still on your wall, there is no GuestView service behind it. The alternative is a link guests open on the phone they already carry.

GuestView Guide was an in-room tablet: you installed, mounted, powered, and maintained a screen in each unit. Guests used it on site for house information, local recommendations, amenity how-tos, and — on some setups — smart-device controls and upsells. Sharp NEC announced the shutdown in 2023 and aligned it with a broader company strategy. The homepage still states the product would be discontinued in October 2024.
We cannot check a live GuestView checkout in October 2026. Touch Stay’s public comparison, written while GuestView was still sold, listed $39.99 per month per guide with a one-year minimum. We quote that only as a third-party figure from that comparison, not as a current GuestView list price.
A phone-first guest guide is a web page behind one link. You share it before check-in. There is nothing to mount, charge, or replace when it walks out the door. Guest Guide covers check-in, door code, parking, Wi-Fi, appliances, house rules, checkout, and a short list of local favorites. It does not replicate a fixed in-room smart-home panel.

Checks are only for features we could verify on public pages. If we were not sure, we left it out.
An in-room device still fits hotel-style or branded properties that want a premium fixture on arrival, guests controlling locks, lights, or thermostats from a fixed screen, and on-site staff who maintain hardware as part of normal operations. GuestView Guide itself is no longer sold, so that would be a different tablet product.
Choose a phone-first guide if guests need the door code and parking the day before they arrive, you do not want a fleet of devices across units, and updates should be instant without touching a wall. Guest Guide is $49 once (one property) or $99 once (unlimited).
Take the content you already showed on the tablet, drop it into Guest Guide, publish, and share the link with your next booking over WhatsApp, email, or the channel’s message template. There is no GuestView cloud left to export from, and no migration window on their side.
You can leave the dead screen on the wall for a stay or two while you send the link, then take the hardware down when guests actually use the phone page.
Adding a property means adding a link, not buying and installing another screen. Change the Wi-Fi password once and every guest sees the new one immediately, on every property, without touching a device.
No. Sharp NEC Display Solutions discontinued GuestView Guide on 31 October 2024. Existing wall screens no longer have a GuestView service behind them.
For information delivery, yes: the same house details, Wi-Fi, rules, and local tips. The difference is in-room device features such as a fixed smart-home panel, which a link does not replicate.
No. A web-based guest guide opens in any phone browser. That is the main reason it works for guests who arrive late and do not want to set anything up.
We cannot verify a live GuestView price. Touch Stay’s comparison listed $39.99 per month per guide with a one-year minimum while the product was still sold. Guest Guide is $49 or $99 once, with no hardware.
Print a small card with a QR code that opens the link. Guests get an on-arrival prompt without you mounting and maintaining a screen.
