What GoGuidebook is, and who it fits

GoGuidebook’s pricing page (checked 15 October 2026) lists the first guide at $8.99/month, or $7.50/month when billed annually. Guides 2–5 are $5.99/month each, or $4.00/month annually. They state that the per-guide price continues to fall as you add more guides, that you can cancel before the next renewal, and that new guides are prorated.

Features they publish: organized categories with images, video, and documents; branding (colors, fonts, backgrounds); public vs private topics with dated invite links; Google Maps recommendations; automatic translation into over a dozen languages; email/SMS invites; optional registration to collect guest contacts; printable PDF; QR codes; a weather widget; and topic sync across multiple guides.

Guest Guide does not include SMS invites, a weather widget, or a required-registration gate. It does include a mobile-first guide, time-limited shares, AI prefill, and one-time Solo/Pro pricing.

Stay on GoGuidebook if

Stay on GoGuidebook if you want dated invite links, topic sync across many units, printable PDFs, SMS/email invites, or the registration gate for marketing lists. Those are real product differences, not marketing fluff.

Choose Guest Guide if

Switch if you are fine with a simpler guide and you do not want the first property to cost $107.88/year ($8.99 × 12) or $90/year on annual billing, forever.

Moving from GoGuidebook

Copy each GoGuidebook topic into a document. Create a Guest Guide property and paste your listing URL for AI prefill. Map topics: Access to check-in, House to rules, Utilities to Wi-Fi and appliances.

Publish the Guest Guide link, update message templates and any QR card in the unit, and keep GoGuidebook active through one guest stay before you cancel the renewal. Keep screenshots of media-heavy topics until you confirm photos transferred.

How to read GoGuidebook reviews

Filter third-party reviews for portfolio size (one cabin vs twenty condos), whether reviewers use SMS invites or only a QR in the home, and whether complaints are about mobile layout or billing per guide. Guest Guide feedback tends to cluster around setup speed and one-time pricing — different axes.

Frequently asked

Is GoGuidebook more expensive than Guest Guide?

At one guide, GoGuidebook is $8.99/month ($107.88/year) or $7.50/month billed annually ($90/year). Guest Guide Solo is $49 once. By year two the subscription has already cost more than Solo. Extra GoGuidebook guides add $5.99/month ($4.00 annual) each for guides 2–5.

Does GoGuidebook have a free plan?

They publish a 14-day free trial, not a permanent free tier. After the trial you subscribe per guide.

Can guests open a GoGuidebook without an app?

Yes. Their site describes a guide that works on laptops, tablets, and phones, plus QR codes and a printable PDF.

What does Guest Guide not copy from GoGuidebook?

We do not offer SMS invites, a weather widget, or a registration wall. If those are the reason you picked GoGuidebook, keep it.

One guide, one payment, no monthly per-property bill.
